News from Plastic Surgery Society - United Arab Emirates

The Plastic Surgery has witnessed great progress in the Arabic world especially in the United Arab Emirates. The Plastic Surgery Society of Emirates Medical Association is leading their role in the advancement of plastic surgery in the U.A.E. The activities of Plastic Surgery Society are widening yearly and active participation and involvement of the members and
the great support from the Emirates Medical Association invigorate the outgrowth of Plastic Surgery Society.

The Biennial General Assembly of the Plastic Surgery Society, Emirates Medical Association was convened on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Amal Ball Room of JW Marriott Hotel - Dubai.  Dr. Ali Al-Numairy, the President of the society in his opening speech welcomed Dr. Sagar Al-Mu'alla, the Chairman of the Cultural Committee, the representative of Emirates Medical Association and the members to the General Assembly.  In his presidential address Dr. Ali Al-Numairy conveyed his gratitude to the EMA and other International Plastic Surgery Associations for their great support to the society.

A drawn out report of the activities of the society for the last two years was presented by the President. In his report it was mentioned that the outgrowth of the society is with the active participation of the members.
During the last two years Plastic Surgery Society has achieved a great progress in their activities. Several local meetings, regional and International Congresses were hosted by the Society with different scientific programs with wide participation of numerous plastic surgeons and professionals from other different medical specialties. 

The election for the Managing Board was held in presence of Dr. Sagar Al-Mu'alla, representative from EMA.

The following members were elected to the new Executive Board.
