It is an extreme delight and honour to be able to welcome all of you, distinguished speakers and participants, to Tripoli, Libya for the 11th Congress of Pan Arab Association for Burns and plastic Surgery, entitled "Advances in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery" Refining Old Techniques, Defining New Strategies.
The Organising Committee of the 11th Congress of Pan Arab Association for Burns and plastic Surgery has set out to bring together an international faculty of distinguished plastic and aesthetic surgeons from around the world. We are proud to have received such a positive response from our international speakers.
Our speakers’ experience, their expertise and excellent surgical and scientific skills are, I believe, a unique testimony for the importance of this scientific meeting. We are thus confident that the 11th Congress of Pan Arab Association for Burns and plastic Surgery will be a fruitful opportunity for all of us to exchange views, ideas, and experiences on the present and future of plastic aesthetic surgery and find a path towards improving our own work, for the sake of our patients.

Congress President
The 11th Congress of Pan Arab Association for Burn and plastic Surgery has brought together plastic surgeons of distinction that have been in pursuit of excellence their entire careers, brought together for one purpose is to increase our body of knowledge toward the excellence. PABPS is both physical and spiritual meeting point for all those involved in the intricacies of plastic surgery and for all those who, with their expertise helping people to live a fuller life.
This congress marks a continuation of the increasing importance of intricacies of plastic surgery, from facial rejuvenation to breast and body surgery, to the new frontier of fat and stem cells, together we will make this occasion as a beacon of light to illuminate the shows still remaining in our surgical experiences.
I welcome you all in Tripoli; the ancient Oea also known as the Mermaid of the Mediterranean, with its roots in ancient Mediterranean tradition reflects Mediterranean culture from the very old ruins of the Romans, the Muslims, and the Turks to the contrasts of a cosmopolitan modern city.
Finally, I sincerely gratitude all colleagues in the organizing committee, scientific committee and in the centre for their efforts and commitment to ensure the success of this scientific event.

The Organizing Committee for the 11th Pan Arab Congress of Plastic Surgery to be hold in Tripoli, Libya from 24th - 27th April 2009 is honored to invite you to the Congress which will include a group of prominent plastic surgeons from Libya, Arab world and international guests.
The Congress will be a chance for meeting and exchange of knowledge and experience in order to improve plastic surgery in this part of the world. Also our guest will have a chance to look at Libya, its people and history through a lot of social events which will be organized during the Congress especially visiting the Historic cities of Leptis Magna, Sabratha and a Desert tour to the lakes and Gadams.
